Quality Engineer

Salem, Virginia USA

This engineer will provide quality standards; maintain quality systems to the ISO 9001 standards; lead the effort to design and implement quality processes; serve as the company liaison with suppliers for quality purposes; and lead the efforts to resolve quality issues. Provide leadership and guidance to the Quality Assurance Inspector and Final Test Inspector. Establish requirements for effective statistical QA systems. Collect and utilize key measurement data to develop a quality plan with a clear definition of objectives, actions, and time lines. Define, lead and implement quality and validation engineering in the design, development, and manufacture of products. Ensure timely, independent quality assessment of systems, reports, internal/external facilities and documents that meet the company standards for quality, content, and format. Manage the validation of existing and new products, manufacturing processes, testing, packaging, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.

 

Requirements are a minimum of 10 years of Quality Engineering experience with an Engineering/QA Degree (MS or higher preferred) with 10+ years of Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment. Certification as a Quality Engineer preferred.

 

Experience with each of the following is viewed as a plus: electronics, machine parts, CMM and rotating machinery.

Sales Engineer - Europe

Rotterdam, Netherlands - As a member of the European Sales Team you will be responsible for developing and executing customer development strategies in order to deliver profitable sales in accordance with company's short and long term growth goals and objectives. Passion for building solid customer and distributor relationships and developing new business will be essential in this role and to the future growth and success of the organization.

 

You will be responsible for execution of Synchrony's short term sale strategies for expanding our growth within the European markets and ensure that company goals are met. Develop and implement sales plans/projections based on strategic plans and establish operational sales targets linked to the plan and monitor performance. Build and develop solid relationships with distributors and partners within the European market. Closely monitor and anticipate European industry and market trend, while gathering competitive information to influence technology and product development.

 

The successful candidate will have experience in successfully building and managing European sales and marketing activities for technical products used in industrial applications. Experience in the rotating machinery or energy conversion industries would be beneficial. Strong written and verbal communication skills required; fluency in English and German required with French highly desirable. Extensive traveling will be required. Undergraduate degree with MBA strongly preferred.
