Either Fusion® or NovaGlide™ magnetic bearings may be used in new designs or retrofit into existing machines. 
Synchrony’s design innovations have made active magnetic bearings a viable alternative to conventional oil-lubricated bearings such as rolling element and oil-film bearings. For high-speed applications, the magnetic bearings improve efficiency and stability, while for low-speed applications, the magnetic bearings improve the reliability and eliminate oil lubricants.
