Synchrony Exhibits Fusion™ Magnetic Bearing at IGTI Turbo Expo ROANOKE, VIRGINIA--May 20, 2007 - Synchrony exhibited a working demonstration of its FusionTM magnetic bearing at the IGTI Turbo Expo in Montreal on May 14 - 17. The Fusion™ bearing is the only active magnetic bearing in the world does not require an external electronic control system. The unit demonstrated has a 300-pound force capability and is powered with 48 VDC. The unit also includes an Ethernet port data streaming and an embedded web server for setup and monitoring.
