Lubrication-Free, High-Performance Motor or Power Generation: The NovaDrive™ 400 and NovaGen™ 400

The NovaDrive™ 400 high-speed motors and NovaGen™ 400 generators provide high-efficiency, excellent load capacity and high-speed operation without the need for gearboxes and lubrication systems. That means less cost, lighter weight and greener operation, without the potential for oil contamination. Remote monitoring and integrated controls provide precise operation and help minimize downtime and costs of ownership. NovaDrive™ and NovaGen™ 400 applications include the HVAC, renewable energy, petrochemical and oil and gas industries.

  • Applications include gas compression and power generation
  • Two configurations:
    • NovaDrive™ 400 as a motor
    • NovaGen™ 400 as a generator
  • Permanent magnet rotor with low-loss, steel retention band (patent pending)
  • Shaft supported on magnetic bearings with controls embedded in the machine housing
  • Compact length (28 in) and lightweight aluminum housing

  • Compressor or turbine can be mounted on shaft
  • Can be directly coupled to a high speed machine
