STAMFORD, Conn. – May 22, 2024 – Synchrony (NYSE: SYF), a consumer financial services company, today announced organizational changes to its executive leadership team, effective August 1, 2024. Maran Nalluswami will become EVP, Chief Strategy and Business Development Officer, succeeding Trish Mosconi, who will retire from the company, effective July 31, 2024. Courtney Gentleman will become EVP & CEO, Diversified & Value, and Darrell Owens will become EVP & CEO, Lifestyle.
Nalluswami will be responsible for managing Synchrony’s business development, long-term strategic planning, M&A, strategic partnerships and Synchrony Ventures, which supports investments in emerging technologies and products to accelerate Synchrony’s pace of innovation. Nalluswami is currently EVP & CEO, Diversified & Value and Lifestyle. He has served in commercial leadership roles at Synchrony for eight years, following an extensive career at GE Capital.

With Nalluswami’s transition to his new role, two seasoned Synchrony leaders will be promoted to its executive leadership team to lead two of the company’s business platforms.
In this elevated role, Gentleman will continue to lead Synchrony’s Diversified & Value (D&V) platform, responsible for driving continued growth for national and regional brands delivering everyday value. Gentleman brings two decades of experience and currently leads development and implementation of growth strategies for D&V partners.
In this elevated role, Owens will continue to lead Synchrony’s Lifestyle platform, responsible for creating continued value and consumer engagement for Synchrony partners in powersports, outdoor power equipment and other industries focused on lifestyle merchandise including sporting goods, clothing, jewelry and music. With more than 20 years of experience, Owens currently leads growth strategies in the Lifestyle portfolio.
